Men's Laser Permanent Hair Removal
Professional laser treatment is a non-invasive treatment which means it involves no piercing, needles or risk of infection. Laser treatments aims to give permanent hair removal through emitting brief pulses of light energy to damage hair follicles, preventing regrowth. This gives the most effective, longest lasting hair removal results available and can lead to permanently hair free skin after 12 treatments. Treatments are recommended every one to two weeks which creates a minimum 3-6 months for your complete treatment package. Complete 12 treatment package prices are available here, so that you can receive two extra treatments free of charge. Most clients will achieve a substantial visible reduction in hair regrowth, and additional treatments may result in additional reductions.
Dependent mainly on your skin tone, hair colour, body area and laser light intensity, individual results from laser hair removal may range from complete reduction to little or no reduction. A consultation with Steve will allow us to agree the schedule of appointments, the likely success rate and payment choice before starting the treatments. A patch test on a less visible area (e.g. the inner arm), is required at least 24 hours before your first treatment on your chosen area to check for any adverse reactions prior to proceeding.
It is highly recommended to cleanse and shave your chosen skin area 24 hours before using the laser. Shaving can be done in the suite by Steve during your treatment time, or you can do this yourself.
Laser procedures are safe for use on any body part, including the face and genitals. 5 different intensity levels allow Steve to customise your comfort and incresase oe reduce the rate of hair reduction depending on your preference and response. Intended skin tones include white, ivory, beige and light brown; it is not safe for medium brown, dark brown or black skin tones. Laser removal is not suitable for white, grey, red or blonde hair.
Laser hair removal is described as feeling like the flick of an elastic band, similar to waxing and electronic epilation. The more sessions you have, the less pain you feel as there are fewer hair follicles to be targeted. The laser targets only the hair follicle, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. You may experience some redness, but this should subside within 24 hours. Aftercare advice and products are provided by Steve. Aloe vera gel or wash is usually the best option to cool and soothe irritated skin, and keep the area clean with antibacterial wipes, gel or wash. Avoid sunburn with sun protection, avoid sweating too much, and also avoid tight, dirty clothes and unwashed hands on the treated area.
Laser hair removal gives the most effective and quickest form of permanent hair removal. Any remaining hair will be finer, lighter and much slower growing with the additional benefit of smoother skin. Hair shadow and prickly growth will be much reduced, meaning you will have much less need to wax, shave, pluck or apply cosmetic makeup, if you need to at all. Longer term, it is cheaper than temporary hair removal such as waxing, and maintains the skin's health much better. Ingrown hair, a common bane of waxing, can completely go, after having a course of laser hair removal.
