Diploma in Ayurveda Therapies

Ayurveda, whose practices are first written in the 5000 year old Indian Sanskrit sciptures, offers an increasingly popular range of consultations and treatments in Western Spas. It has many applications across the broad spectrum of healthy lifestyle choices, based on a person's individual constitution, and therefore follows classic, complimentary, holistic principles. Ayurveda, literally translated from Sanskrit, means 'knowledge of life'. Ayurveda's systems of healing and energy management have lond been regarded as effective methods of relieving stress, creating personal balance, eliminating ailments and relieving chronic pain. Ayurveda provides advice on diet, herbs, oil, gems, mantras, meditation, asana (yoguc postures and moves), pranayama (breathwork), lifestyle practices and daily health considerations for your unique mind-body type, both as an aid to disease treatment and for disease prevention.  

This course is taught by experienced therapist Steve, who has travelled and worked extensively in Kerala and Goa, in India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka. He has trained at the International Academy of Ayurveda in Pune, India.

It takes approximately 86 hours total study time. There is one online course and 6 practical training modules.

Practical training and assessment is included in the price of the qualification, although additional customised practical training can be bought with Steve if required.
